William Gene and Brigitte Johanna Brown Scholarship - Foreign Language (Fiscal Year 2021)

The following criteria must be met:
1. The recipient(s) must be a full-time student of at least sophomore status and be accepted to Eastern Illinois University.
2. The recipient must be a declared major in World Languages and Cultures with preference given to students pursuing a teacher certification.
3. The recipient must have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
4. Preference will be given to students participating in Study Abroad programs at Eastern Illinois University.
5. The recipient must have at least one semester of study left after the award is made.
6. The recipient must have leadership in promotion of study of World Languages and Cultures.
7. Financial need is not a consideration.
