David Sardella Incentive Track Scholarship

For freshman track and field athletes with no other athletic aid. Requires 12 credit hours, athletic potential.

Full description:
The following criteria must be met:

1. The recipient shall be a full-time student accepted to Eastern Illinois University. The student recipient must carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.
2. The recipient shall be academically and athletically eligible.
3. The recipient shall maintain a 2.5 GPA.
4. The recipient shall be an entering freshman who does not receive any other athletic scholarship and participates in track and field or a Senior who does not receive any other athletic scholarship and participates in track and field. Senior recipient(s) must demonstrate the following: Commitment to the track and field program, has had a positive impact on team culture, and displays integrity.
5. The scholarship shall be given to a student as an incentive to achieve success, and preference shall be given to a student who demonstrates the greatest potential for success in track and field.
6. Financial need shall be a consideration at the discretion of the Selection Committee.
7. The recipient(s) may receive the scholarship only once.

Award announced in the spring and awarded half for the following Fall semester and the other half in the following Spring semester.
