Dean James E. Johnson Scholarship

Criteria for selection are as follows:

1. Must be a full-time incoming freshman student and accepted to Eastern Illinois University, however a past recipient is eligible to apply for the award again provided they continue to meet the criteria stated herein.
2. Applicant(s) for the award should have a well-defined academic goal and a broad interest in sports and recreation in American life.
3. Must maintain a minimum GPA of at least 2.5 and be of impeccable character.
4. Financial need is a consideration.

This award is announced in the Spring and disbursed in the following Fall or split half in the Fall semester and half in the Spring semester.
