Esther Brothers Elmore Memorial Scholarship

The following criteria must be met:
1. Must be a full-time junior or senior student majoring in health related program formerly known as Family and Consumer Sciences (this could include majors within College of Health and Human Services, College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, and Lumpkin College of Business and Technology) and accepted to Eastern Illinois University.
i. Preference is given to a recipient who has participated in an event hosted by WEB@.
2. Must be given to an individual with the following circumstances: A foster or adopted child, or is a first generation student to attend college.
3. The applicant must submit a maximum of a two page paper on one of the following topics: children in foster care or adopted from the child welfare system, diversity in our society, gender equality, the challenge of those diagnosed with a mental health issue, or at-risk youth.
4. Financial need is a requirement.

This award is to be announced and paid in the Fall semester.
