Amanda Kent Education Annual Scholarship
For Education majors from Clark, Coles, Cumberland, Douglas, Edgar, Moultrie, Peoria, Shelby, or Tazewell counties. Requires 3.0 GPA.
Criteria for selection are as follows:
- Must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Education and accepted to
Eastern Illinois University.
- The recipient must be a graduate from a high school in one of the following counties in
Illinois: Clark County, Coles County, Cumberland County, Douglas County, Edgar County,
Moultrie County, Peoria County, Shelby County, or Tazewell County.
- Must maintain an overall cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- The recipient must provide a brief summary on how an educator has impacted the applicant’s
life and conversely how the applicant plans to impact his/her students’ lives.
- Financial need is a consideration.
This award is announced in the Spring and paid in the Fall.
