Dr. Garry E. Ernst and Janet E. Ernst Endowment

The recipient(s) must:

1. be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at Eastern Illinois University with a declared major in Communication Disorders and Sciences and be enrolled in that degree-seeking program;
2. have completed a minimum of 15 hours of coursework at Eastern Illinois University including at least two courses in the major;
3. have a major GPA of 3.2 or higher;
4. be in good academic standing with the University and demonstrate potential to excel in their chosen career;
5. preference shall be given to: 1) first generation students; and 2) students who plan to pursue a career as a School Speech-Language-Hearing Pathologist.

The recipient(s) may be eligible to apply for, and receive, the award again provided they continue to meet the criteria above.
The award shall be announced in the Spring semester and payable in the following Fall semester.
