Paul and Katherine Snyder Scholarship
The following criteria must be met:
- The recipient must be a full-time student majoring in accounting and accepted to Eastern Illinois University and the EIU School of Business.
- The recipient must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Financial need is a consideration. The recipient(s) will be identified by the EIU accounting faculty as an individual(s) who has high potential to excel in the field of account and who, without the award, may not realize their full potential. To further clarify financial need, this award is intended to assist students with unmet financial need requiring not only this award, but loans and outside employment to underwrite the cost of attendance. Applicants attending EIU under these circumstances shall receive first priority from the selection committee.
- The recipient will be identified by the EIU accounting faculty as an individual who has high potential to excel in the field of accounting and who, without the award, may not be able to realize his/her full potential.
- The recipient must submit an essay outlining their need for the award in attaining their career goal.
The recipient may be eligible to receive the award again provided he/she continues to meet the criteria stated herein.
Award announced in the spring and awarded in the fall.
