Stephen B. Schnorf Student Emergency Fund
This award was established to provide funding for EIU students in dire emergency situations and memorialize Stephen B. Schnorf.
Criteria for selection are as follows:
1. Recipient must be a full time student accepted at Eastern Illinois University.
2. The recipient must be referred by a faculty or staff member of Eastern Illinois University.
3. The applicant must have completed the Federal Financial Aid Application (FAFSA) process if eligible. If ineligible to complete the FAFSA due to citizenship or other issues, please speak to a representative from Financial Aid.
4. The student must complete the application for emergency funding. Requests must be urgent in nature. These funds are not intended to be used for routine expenses or as a consistent supplement to a student’s education funding source.
5. The student must be able to demonstrate current financial need by submitting any supporting documentation for consideration.
The recipient may be eligible to apply for the award again provided they continue to meet the criteria stated herein. The recipient may only receive this funding once per semester while actively enrolled.
