Jack Robert Kelly Scholarship
For members of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, preferably non-art majors involved in art/music, or those involved in student government.
Full description:
The following criteria must be met:
- The recipient(s) must be a full-time student enrolled at Eastern Illinois University.
- The recipient(s) must be a persistent member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity at Eastern Illinois University.
- The recipient must be in good academic standing under the current policies of Eastern Illinois University.
- Preference for the selection shall be given to a student who meets one of the following criteria:
a. Is not majoring in Art, Music or Theatre Arts, yet who has taken or has enrolled in a minimum of two classes from one of those programs in an effort to expand their academic experience (or) who is persistently participating in a recognized University-sponsored art, music or theater entity or organization;
b. Is persistent or involved in student government on campus such as serving as an elected representative, volunteering to serve as a member of working committees, or accepting an appointment to an advisory board. - The recipient(s) may be eligible to apply for, and receive, the award again provided the student 1) adds an additional course in the arts or continues involvement in the recognized University-sponsored art, music, or theater entity or organization or 2) continues to be active or involved in student government.
This award shall be paid in the Fall semester.
