The Burke Family Scholarship

The following criteria must be met:
1. The recipient must be a full-time student, majoring in Kinesiology and Sports Studies with the K-12 teacher certification option, attending Eastern Illinois University.
2. The recipient must be student teaching at the time of receipt of the award.
3. Must be a senior or graduate student
4. Must be active in professional activities within the Kinesiology and Sports Studies Department.
5. Must possess strong commitment and dedication to the field, be a positive representative of EIU and show passion for promoting health and wellness.
6. Financial need is not a consideration.
7. Must have at a minimum of GPA of 3.00.

This award shall be announced in the Spring and paid in the Fall or Spring semester.
