For sophomores/juniors in Political Science. Requires 3.0 GPA overall and in major, community/University service, 300-500 word essay.

Full description:
The following criteria must be met:

1. The recipient must be a political science major at Eastern Illinois University.
2. The recipient must be either a junior or second-semester sophomore.
3. The recipient must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 and a grade-point average of 3.0 in three or more political science courses.
4. The recipient must have a record of community or University service.
5. The recipient must write a 300-500 word essay that illustrates a “social conscience approach” to a governmental problem.

This award shall be announced in the Spring and disbursed in the Fall semester.
