For graduate students in Educational Leadership. Requires resume, letter of application. Military/community service, need considered.

Full description:
The following criteria must be met:

1. The recipient must be a part-time or full-time graduate student enrolled in courses offered by Eastern Illinois University’s Department of Educational Leadership at the time of selection, or have successfully completed the degree between January 1 and December 31 of the prior year.
2. In making its selection, the committee will consider the following information regarding the candidates’ potential for future leadership contributions to the public schools and the students they serve: financial need, personal hardship, family considerations (single parent, several children, special needs, etc), military service, community service, Coles County resident, other compelling factors that would make the candidate a worthy recipient.
3. Applicants shall submit a resume and letter of application stating his/her qualifications.
4. The recipient must be in good academic standing.
5. The recipient is not eligible to receive the award again.
