Jim and Bess Townsend Hanks Scholarship

For undergraduates in Accounting or Finance considering an insurance career. Requires visit to State Farm HQ or regional office. Renewable.

Full description:
The following criteria must be met:

1. The scholarship recipient shall be an undergraduate student in the Department of Accountancy and Finance.
2. The recipient shall be a student considering a career in insurance.
3. The recipient(s) shall visit, in a pre-arranged, conducted tour and briefing before accepting the scholarship, either State Farms Corporate Headquarters in Bloomington, Illinois or one of their 26 regional offices, preferably the Indiana Regional Office in West Lafayette, Indiana.
4. The scholarship shall be awarded annually to the designated student(s). Students may reapply each year for the scholarship, but shall not automatically be renewed for it.

Award announced in the spring and awarded in the fall.
