William H. Groves Memorial Award

Criteria for selection:
1. The award recipient shall be a Junior on the Intercollegiate Swimming Team at EIU.
2. The recipient must fully intend to compete as a member with the swim team during his/her Senior year at EIU.
3. The recipient must show other qualities (a personal swimming improvement, leadership qualities, and high academic standing).
4. Preference shall be given to students majoring or minoring in Kinesiology and Sports Studies.
5. If no Junior applies for the award, preference shall go to a Sophomore who meet all other criteria.
6. If no Sophomore applies for the award, preference shall then go to a Graduate Student in Kinesiology and Sports Studies Program.
7. Financial need may be considered.
8. The recipient(s) may be eligible to apply for and receive the award again provided he/she continues to meet the criteria stated above.

This award shall be announced in the Spring and paid in the Fall semester.
