School of Continuing Education Alumni Scholarship

The following criteria must be met:
1. The recipient(s) must be a full-time or part-time adult learner, enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts in General Studies Degree Program (BGS) and accepted to Eastern Illinois University.
2. The recipient(s) must have completed 20 hours of course work through the Bachelor of Arts in General Studies Degree Program.
3. The recipient(s) must have a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
4. The recipient(s) must have two letters from EIU faculty members recommending him/her for the scholarship.
5. Financial need will be a primary consideration in selecting the recipient(s).
6. The recipient(s) must write a two-page paper outlining his/her goals for the future and how his/her education will make those goals possible. The request shall also contain a statement as to why the funds are needed and how they will be used.

This award will be announced in the Spring and awarded the following Fall semester.
