Stan, Dee, and Meagan Braden Scholarship

The following criteria must be met:

1. The recipient must be a full-time Junior or first semester Senior, majoring in Sociology, and accepted to Eastern Illinois University.
2. The recipient must have at least 30 hours of Sociology completed or being completed during the semester the award is made.
3. The recipient must have at least one semester full-time to complete following the receipt of the award.
4. The recipient(s) must have an overall GPA of at least 3.0 and a major GPA of at least 3.0.
5. The recipient (s) must have demonstrated responsibility by: recipient working part-time as a matter of support or paying college expenses; and/or recipient participating regularly in a service organization (university or community) or serving as a volunteer for community service or improvement.
6. The recipient(s) must have demonstrated excellence in writing by submitting a quality research paper that was written for a Sociology course.
7. The recipient(s) must submit a resume detailing his/her qualifications for the award.

The recipient(s) may be eligible to apply for and receive the award again provided he/she continues to meet the criteria stated above.

This award shall be announced in the Spring and disbursed in the Fall semester.
