The Dr. Fred and Sara Jane Preston Award in Nursing

The following criteria must be met:
1. The recipient(s) must be a full-time or part-time student who has been accepted to Eastern Illinois University.
2. The recipient(s) must be a junior or senior enrolled in the RN to BSN Eastern Illinois University program.
3. The recipient(s) must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00.
4. The recipient(s) must plan to continue pursuit of a career in a nursing field.
5. The recipient(s) must include a one page essay on their career ambitions as well as a minimum of (2) faculty references.
6. Preference shall be given to married students with children; secondary preference shall be given to unmarried students with children.
7. Financial need shall be the determining factor given the situation where two or more students are equally qualified.

This award will be paid in the Fall semester.
