Lou and Mary Kay Hencken Scholarship

The following criteria must be met:
1. The recipient(s) shall be a full-time student enrolled at Eastern Illinois University with at least a sophomore grade level.
2. The recipient(s) shall be seeking secondary teacher certification, with preference to student(s) majoring in Career and Technical Education (CTE).
3. The recipient(s) shall be a student attending Eastern from Coles County, Douglas County, St. Clair County, Macoupin County, or Montgomery County, Illinois.
4. The recipient(s) must live in University Housing. One exception to this requirement will be to student(s) who are student teaching during the semester of award of the Lou and Mary Kay Hencken Scholarship.
5. The recipient(s) must maintain an overall GPA of 2.75.
6. The recipient(s) may be eligible to apply for and receive the award again provided he/she continues to meet the criteria stated above.

This award shall be announced in the Spring and disbursed in the Fall semester.
