eSports Level Up Scholarship

Eastern Illinois University offers one-of-a-kind Level Up scholarships for eSports enthusiasts who have the potential to lead and contribute to the eSports community. We are looking for individuals who can compete and contribute to a healthy and positive gaming environment in our registered student organizations and in our eSports arena.

If selected, these scholarships increase each year as faculty advisors affirm the recipients’ commitment to contributing to the eSports community in any and all of these areas: Leadership, coaching, mentorship, sportsmanship and peer support.
The recipient(s) of this scholarship may be eligible to receive it for up to 4 years. Students can “Level Up” 3 times. The amounts per level are as follows:

Level 1 – $250
Level 2 – $500
Level 3 – $1000
Level 4 – $2000

Level 1 scholarships will be announced in the Spring, and disbursed in the following Fall semester.
Level Up recipients may be eligible to apply for a level up scholarship each year. These level up (also called “renewal”) applications are made available after November 1 until August 30 each year and will require you to complete a supplemental question to show your dedication to the E-Sports team and community. Failure to complete your level up application may forfeit your ability to level up that year. Level 2-4 scholarships may be announced as late as August each year and will be paid that Fall semester.
