Marilyn Snearley Memorial Scholarship

The following criteria must be met:
1. The scholarship is awarded to student(s) with a declared major in Music Education.
2. The award recipient(s) shall be chosen from junior class level students who are enrolled in the Music Education program with the intent of pursuing a career in Music Education.
3. Preference shall be given to students who are pursuing Vocal/Choral or Music Education Certification for teaching at the Jr. or Sr. High School level.
4. The award recipient(s) shall have completed at least 30 credit hours of college-level coursework at Eastern Illinois University with an overall EIU GPA of 3.0.
5. Financial need should not be a consideration.
6. The recipient(s) may be eligible to apply for and receive the award again provided he/she continues to meet the criteria stated above.

This award is announced in the Spring and disbursed in the Fall semester.
