Grant-in-Aid Theatre Arts Award

For Theatre Arts majors or minors. Requires 3.0 GPA in Theatre Arts, 2.5 overall GPA, 2 short answers, actively working in Department.

Full description:
The GIA scholarships (in the form of tuition, service fees and/or room and board assistance) are awarded to promising and dedicated students who agree to work in the department office. The award is made as a block grant at the beginning of each semester.  

The following criteria must be met:

1. Be accepted as a student, at Eastern Illinois University and complete registration.
2. Be a full-time student unless written permission for part-time status is provided to the Registration Office by the appropriate department chair or adviser. Meet other reasonable conditions that shall be stated on the award document or included in a written communication to the recipient at the time of the initial award.
3. Recipient must be enrolled at EIU as a full-time Theatre Arts major or minor with a 3.0 GPA in Theatre Arts and an overall GPA of 2.5.
4. Recipient must be actively working in the department and remain academically eligible under grant-in-aid rules of the academic area in which the award is given.
