Leona Stanford Volintine Charitable Trust Fund
The following criteria must be met:
1. The recipient must be a full-time student pursuing a program of study that will lead to a career that promotes and assists the general public welfare, and for no other purpose. This may include but is not limited to curriculums in education, criminal justice, health care, business administration, engineering and various areas of science-chemistry and physics. The student must be accepted to and enrolled at Eastern Illinois University.
2. Financial need is a primary consideration.
3. The recipient must maintain an overall 3.00 GPA.
4. Recipients of the Trust shall be a citizen of the United States of America for a minimum of five years.
5. Students who qualify for the scholarship in the previous year shall be given preference for the following year provided they are eligible. Students are required to apply each year to be considered again
This award is typically announced in the Spring and disbursed in the Fall and Spring.
