Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology Alumni Scholarship
The following criteria must be met:
1. The recipient must be a full-time student majoring in Sociology or Criminology-Criminal Justice and accepted to Eastern Illinois University.
2. The recipient(s) must have completed at least 18 hours in Sociology, Anthropology, or Criminology-Criminal Justice coursework to be eligible for this scholarship.
3. The recipient(s) must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and a major GPA of at least 3.0.
4. The recipient(s) must have demonstrated responsibility by:
i.) working part-time to support their college studies; college expenses; and/or
ii.) regularly volunteering with a service organization (university or community).
5. The recipient(s) must have demonstrated excellence in writing by submitting a quality research paper that was written for a course within the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology.
6. The recipient(s) must submit a resume detailing his/her qualifications for the award.
7. The recipient(s) may be eligible to receive the award again provided he/she continues to meet criteria.
This award shall be announced in the Spring and paid in the Fall semester.
