Jessie Voigt Allhands Math Scholarship for Incoming Students
For new freshmen/transfers in Math, preferably from West Salem or nearby. Requires 3.0 GPA, financial need, 2 essays, recommendation.

This opportunity is for incoming freshman and transfer students that meet the following criteria. Current EIU students do not need to complete an application. Current students may be automatically matched to the opportunity after completing a general application each year if they meet the following criteria.
The following criteria must be met:
- The recipient must be an undergraduate full-time student, majoring, or intending to major in a degree program in the Department of Mathematics, and accepted to, and agreeing to attend, Eastern Illinois University
- The recipient must have an overall GPA of 3.0 from his/her high school.
- The recipient must display a need for financial aid.
- Preference shall be given to students from West Salem, Illinois, or communities close to West Salem, whenever possible.
- When the endowment is deemed to have reached an adequate size, multiple awards may be given.
- The recipient(s) may be eligible to receive the award again provided he/she continues to meet criteria.
This award will be announced in the Spring and disbursed in the following Fall and Spring semester.
