Paul Ward Memorial Scholarship

The following criteria must be met:
1. The recipient(s) shall be a full-time student, majoring in Counseling & Student Development, accepted to Eastern Illinois University.
2. The recipient(s) must be in good academic standing at the time the award is issued with a minimum of a 3.25 grade point average out of a 4.00.
3. The recipient(s) must submit a short essay discussing his/her intent to become a guidance counselor.
4. Financial need is not a consideration but may be used by the selection committee as the determining factor should all other criteria be equal.
5. The recipient(s) may be eligible to apply for, and receive, the award again provided he/she continues to meet the criteria stated above.
6. The award shall be announced in the Spring Semester and paid in the following Fall or Fall and Spring Semester.
