Robert L. and Luz M. Whittenbarger Sociology Scholarship

The following criteria must be met:
1. The recipient shall be a full-time student, majoring in Sociology, accepted to EIU.
2. The recipient must have completed at least nine semester hours of credit in Sociology at the time of selection.
3. The recipient must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and a major GPA of at least 3.0 at the time of selection, with the award given to the applicant with the highest major GPA.
4. Financial need shall be a primary consideration.
5. Only one award is intended to be given. In the case of two or more students who equally qualify, the selection committee shall base the decision on the student with the greatest number of completed semester hours in the Sociology major.

This award shall be disbursed in the Fall semester.
