Lottie Leach Leeds Scholarship

The following criteria must be met:
1. The scholarship recipient shall be a high school graduate and a resident of the State of Illinois.
2. The recipient must enroll in Eastern Illinois University as a Junior.
3. The recipient must “promise” dedication to the teaching of 4th-grade students or younger (Early Childhood and Elementary Education).
4. The recipient shall be a person of outstanding character and conduct.
5. The recipient shall be a student of scholastic achievement, a quality needed to provide a young person a proper education.
6. Financial need IS a consideration.
7. Criteria 1-4 are the most important in selecting the scholarship recipient.

This award is announced in the Spring and disbursed in the Fall.
