For undergraduates in Journalism, preferably under-represented. Requires 12-18 credit hours, substantial work at Daily Eastern News.
Full description:
The following criteria must be met:
- The candidate must demonstrate financial need.
- At the time of selection in the spring semester, the recipient(s) must be a full-time freshman or transfer student at Eastern in good academic standing majoring in Journalism who has earned 12 to 18 credit hours at Eastern.
- The recipient(s) has demonstrated his/her commitment to newspaper journalism by engaging in substantial work at The Daily Eastern News.
- Preference will be given to, but not mandated, culturally diverse and under-represented students.
- The recipient(s) may receive the award one time only.
This award will be announced in the Spring and disbursed the following Fall semester.
