Jon and Diana Giffin Geologist Scholarship

For Geology majors (sophomores, juniors, seniors) who plan to work as geologists. Requires 3.25 GPA. Financial need a final consideration.

Full description:
The following criteria must be met:

1. The recipient(s) must be a full-time student accepted to Eastern Illinois University with a declared major in Geology.
2. The recipient(s) must be of at least sophomore status.
3. The recipient(s) must have a minimum overall 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
4. The recipient(s) must have career plans to work as a geologist.
5. In the event two or more students are equally qualified, financial need shall be the determining factor on the selection of the award.
6. The recipient(s) may be eligible to apply for and receive the award again provided he/she continues to meet the criteria stated above.

This award is announced in the Spring and disbursed in the Fall.
