Patrick Lenihan Graduate Fellowship in Economics

The following criteria must be met:
1. The recipient must have applied and been accepted to Eastern Illinois University, to the Graduate School, and have applied and been
accepted to the Department of Economics as a degree-seeking candidate pursuing a Master’s Degree in Economics.
2. Preference shall be given to students who are pursuing graduate education and plan to pursue a career as an economist or a teacher of
economics.
3. Preference shall be given to students who plan to pursue an advanced degree in economics.
4. As provided through the Graduate School, the recipient of the Patrick Lenihan Graduate Fellowship in Economics will receive a tuition
waiver.
5. At the discretion of the Graduate Coordinator, research may be delegated to the recipient of the Patrick Lenihan Graduate Fellowship in
Economics.
6. Recipients may only receive the award once.

This award will be announced in the Spring and disbursed in the Fall semester.
