For 4 sophomores, one each in Economics, History, Political Science, and Sociology. Requires 2.0 GPA, financial need. Renewable.

Full description:
The following criteria must be met:

  1. The award shall be made to four full-time students of the following departments: Economics, History, Political Science or Sociology.
  2. The recipient shall be a sophomore with a “C” cumulative grade point average (2.0 on a 4.0 scale).
  3. The recipient shall be able to demonstrate financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office at Eastern Illinois University.
  4. The recipient shall remain eligible to receive the award in subsequent years provided he or she maintains a “C” average (2.0 on a 4.0
    scale).
