Don and Ferne Rogers and Daughters Scholarship - College of Education

For Elementary / Middle Level Education majors in math or science, soon to student teach. Requires 2.65 GPA. Employment, need preferred.

Full description:
The following criteria must be met:

1. The recipient must be a full-time student accepted to Eastern Illinois University majoring in: Elementary or Middle Level Education with a concentration in math or science, Mathematics with teacher certification, or Science with teacher certification.
2. The recipient must maintain a GPA of at least 2.65.
3. Preference shall be given to a student who is persistently employed in an effort to pay for their own education.
4. Financial need is a consideration. Students must show financial need demonstrated by taking out considerable loans to finance their education, verified through the Financial Aid Office.
5. The recipient is eligible to only receive the award once.
6. The scholarship must be awarded during the student teaching semester.

Award announced in the spring and paid in the fall.
