Walter Merritt Scruggs Scholarship

The following criteria must be met:
1. The recipient must be enrolled in a field of study within the Department of Biological Sciences.
2. The recipient shall be of junior standing as defined by the University catalog.
3. The recipient shall have demonstrated a definite interest in research or teaching.
4. The recipient shall have been persistent in departmental activities (honoraries, clubs, seminars, field trips, research, etc.).
5. Where other considerations are equal, financial aid will be a factor.

Award announced in the spring and awarded in the fall.
