Lillian R. Greathouse Scholarship

The following criteria must be met:
1. The recipient(s) must be an incoming freshman, incoming transfer student, or senior, accepted and registered at Eastern Illinois University as a full-time student, majoring in career and technical education. Once a recipient receives the award as an incoming freshman or incoming transfer student, a senior is eligible to apply for the award again provided that the recipient still meets the criteria.
2. The freshman recipient(s) must be in the top 20% of his/her high school graduating class.
3. The recipient(s) must submit an essay addressing the following: a. characteristics that a good teacher must have, b. why I want to be a teacher, and c. why I want to teach career and technical education specifically.
4. The transfer and/or senior recipient(s) must have an overall GPA of 2.65 to continue receiving the award.

This award shall be announced in the Spring and disbursed in the Fall semester.
