Rex Syndergaard Scholarship

Criteria for selection are as follows:

1. The recipient(s) shall be an upper division or graduate history major at Eastern Illinois University, with preference given to candidates interested in pursuing the teaching profession.
2. Financial need shall not be a consideration in the selection of a candidate.
3. The recipient(s) shall be a student who has, in the judgement of the selection committee, demonstrated by reason of scholarship and performance the promise of distinguished service and success in their chosen field.

Recipient(s) may be eligible to apply for the award again provided they continue to meet the criteria stated herein.
This award is announced and awarded in the Spring semester.
