William A. Smith Scholarship in Recreation Administration

The following criteria must be met:
1. The recipient(s) must be a full-time student, accepted to Eastern Illinois University, with a declared major in Recreation Administration.
2. The recipient(s) must maintain an overall GPA of 2.0 in the major.
3. The recipient(s) shall have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours in the major.
4. The Selection Committee shall require an essay of the applicants. Special consideration will be given to service and professional involvement, academic achievement, scholarship and leadership.
5. Financial need shall be considered at the discretion of the Selection Committee.
6. The recipient may be eligible to receive the award again provided they continue to meet the criteria.

This award is to be announced and paid in the Spring semester.
