Genelle Voigt Jackson English Scholarship

For undergraduates majoring in English, preferably from West Salem or nearby communities. Requires 3.0 GPA, financial need. Renewable.

Full description:
The following criteria must be met:

1. The recipient must be an undergraduate full-time student, majoring, or intending to major in a degree program in the Department of English, and accepted to, and agreeing to attend, Eastern Illinois University.
2. The recipient must have an overall GPA of 3.0 from his/her high school.
3. The recipient must display a need for financial aid.
4. Preference shall be given to students from West Salem, Illinois, or communities close to West Salem, whenever possible.
5. The recipient(s) may be eligible to apply for and receive the award again provided he/she continues to meet the criteria stated above.
   This award is announced in the Spring and disburses in the following Fall and Spring semesters.
