Isabel McKinney Undergraduate Scholarship

For undergraduates in English. Requires nominations; paper on creative writing, or literary or historical criticism. Renewable w/ 3.2 GPA.

Full description:
The following criteria must be met:

1. The scholarship recipient shall be a declared English major in the second semester of University enrollment.
2. The award will be renewable automatically for junior, and senior years providing recipients maintain overall cumulative GPAs of 3.20.
3. The recipient must secure nominations for the annual award from members of the English Department faculty, or by direct application to the said Scholarship Committee.
4. The recipient must author a written paper, the subject being either of creative writing, literary criticism, or historical criticism.
5. Financial need IS a consideration.

This award is announced in the Spring and disbursed in the Fall.
