Marilyn Joy Coles Music Study Abroad Scholarship

The following criteria must be met:
1. Must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Music and accepted to Eastern Illinois University.
2. Must maintain an overall GPA of at least 2.5.
3. A brief statement must be included with information on the study abroad program and how it will influence the recipient professionally.
4. Financial need is not a consideration.
5. Preference given in the following order:
a) Music students participating in a Summer or Semester Program at Salzburg College in Salzburg, Austria studying vocal performance or music education.
b) Music students participating in a Summer or Semester Program at Salzburg College in Salzburg, Austria studying piano performance or music education.
c) Music students participating in a Summer or Semester Program at Salzburg College in Salzburg, Austria studying instrumental performance or music education (and including composition majors).
d) If Salzburg College should no longer be available, then any Study Abroad program will qualify.

The recipients may be eligible to apply for the award again provided they continue to meet the criteria stated herein.
This award is announced in the Spring and may be disbursed in the following summer, fall, or spring semester.
