Honors Transfer Student Scholarship
The Honors Transfer Student Scholarship is a competitive award for students transferring from another post-secondary institution to EIU. Eligible students must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 for at least 18 credits worth of courses from their original post-secondary institution, and they must be interested in being part of one of EIU’s University or Departmental Honors programs. Past involvement in Honors programs or societies may be considered in making awards. Winners of this award will receive $3,500 per year, paid over the student’s fall and spring terms for their first two years at EIU. The award is renewed automatically provided the recipient is participating successfully in an EIU honors program and has achieved an EIU cumulative GPA of 3.4.
