Harris E. Phipps Chemistry Scholarship

For Chemistry majors, preferably juniors. Must show responsible character, sense of purpose, promise of distinguished service in chemistry.

Full description:
The following criteria must be met:

1. The recipient(s) shall be a declared major in a program of studies offered through the Department of Chemistry.
2. The recipient shall be a person, who, by reason of scholarship, responsible character and sense of purpose, gives promise of distinguished service in the field of chemistry.
3. The recipient shall, at the time of his/her nomination and selection, be classified as a junior by the University, except for other student classifications if income from the said fund warrants more than one award.
4. Financial need shall be only a minor factor in the selection of recipients.

Award announced in the spring and awarded in the fall.
