Impact

I loved the Honors program, with its small class sizes and classes with an added challenge. EIU has the spirit of a large university, but with it’s smaller student body, I was able to work one-on-one with professors and really shine in my leadership positions. This scholarship has released some of the financial burdens I feel. Throughout most of my undergraduate career, I have had to work multiple jobs, but in receiving this scholarship my senior year, I was able to focus more on my academics.

I would like to thank the Lasky’s for their continued support of University and Departmental Honors students at EIU. It means a lot to me to have been selected for this award and I will proudly wear the engraved medal that I received as a part of this award at graduation this December.
