The Francis and Joyce Archibald Memorial Education Scholarship

This endowed scholarship is funded by a generous gift from Francis and Joyce Archibald’s daughter, Sue Ellen Taylor (Class of 1971), in recognition of the sacrifices, her parents made to enable her to attend and graduate from EIU. Francis and Joyce understood the importance and benefits of higher education for their daughter. It is hoped the scholarship will enable future students, from smaller rural Illinois high schools, to attend and graduate from EIU with a degree in education. This legacy will enable EIU to carry on the important historical mission of the University in educating generations of elementary and secondary education teachers in Illinois.
