Mary Ehrhardt Scholarship
Steve Ehrhardt, a two-time EIU alum (‘87, ’90), created this fund to support individuals who need financial assistance to complete their degree. It is also a tribute to his mother, Mary, who made countless sacrifices, many of which he didn’t fully understand at the time, to help him achieve his dream of attending college. After her passing, he learned just how much she did to support him, and it reminded him of the importance of remembering where we come from It is crucial to honor the people who helped us along the way, whether they are professors, peers, or family, and to pay that support forward when we can. Steve’s hope is that recipients of this fund, when the time is right, will also pay it forward to future generations of students pursuing a counseling degree and career. He is forever grateful for his years at Eastern, and this fund is his way of giving back to the university that helped shape his future.
To be awarded to a full-time or part-time graduate student majoring in Counseling.
