Impact

“I would like to thank the donor of this scholarship from the very bottom of my heart. This scholarship has the ability to open many doors for me. I am so grateful for this opportunity and truly humbled. I am a hard worker that does not always recognize or accept my accomplishments. This year was particularly difficult for me as I experienced major health concerns. As my family took the blow of the financial needs for my education, medical bills began to pour in. This scholarship gives me the feeling I am finally able to help my family pay for these expenses. This scholarship reminded me why I fought so hard to stay in September. It also reminded me that you get what you give. I intend to use this scholarship to further my education to give back to the Speech-Language-Pathology field just as it has given to me. I would like to thank the donor of this scholarship for the relief it has brought my family and I. They were absolutely thrilled when they found out I had received this scholarship, as was I. This scholarship may not seem like it has the ability to change lives; however, it truly does. It not only changes the lives of the recipient and their families but also the clients the recipient will work with in the future. This scholarship is enabling and empowering and I urge you to never forget that. This award will be seen in hours of hard work and clinical hours, but it will also be seen in the lives that are changed by the ability to communicate. I am a strong believer in giving back, and this scholarship enables me to do that. I would like to thank the donor of this scholarship for not only touching my life and the lives of past and future recipients but also touching the lives of the clients we will help. This scholarship has motivated me to continue to be the best student and clinician that I can be while reminding me why I entered this field. I am truly honored for this opportunity and I could never thank you enough”.
